When it comes to business there is one social media platform that stands head and shoulders above the rest and that's LinkedIn.  Only last month LinkedIn, which is the world's largest online professional network with over 277 million members worldwide, announced that it had passed 15 million members in the UK, a 50 percent increase from 10 million members in September 2012.

So how do you make sure you can stand out from the crowd to maximise your opportunities of connecting with the people you want to, whether that is seeking potential customers, suppliers, business partners or employees?  Or maybe you are just looking for a fresh start?

The answer is your LinkedIn profile.  It is here that you present your face to the world and it is here that your journey starts to achieve your connection goals.  But what makes a good profile and how do you optimise it?
