Supplying The Public Sector

The opportunities to supply the public sector are considerable; with spend exceeding £220 billion per year on buying goods and services as diverse as stationery, cleaning or grounds maintenance. The Government has stated its aim for SMEs to be fulfilling 25% of these public sector contracts, yet many businesses are still either unsure about how the tender process works or put off by the complexity of the paperwork required. Corinna Frost, of Complete Bidwriting, will provide an overview of the contract opportunities available, where to find them and the process for submitting a bid. She will highlight the essentials required in order for a business to be 'fit to bid' and also outline some of the processes and pre-requisites to join preferred supplier lists and supply lower value contracts.
