The BIG debate on Europe

Thursday, 15 March 2012 00:00

Europe – and our relationship with it – not only dominates the headlines these days but crops up in our breakfast conversations quite a bit. So, the Business Café has decided to grasp the bull by the horns and to have a debate about where we stand - or should stand, or would like to stand, depending on your opinion.

On March 15th Business Café member Gary Horsley will propose the motion......

It is in the best interests of the UK to engage more fully with the European Union

Opposing the motion will be Chris Crace.

This is likely to be a lively debate, with opportunity for questions and points from the floor, and a possible need for volunteers to mop up the blood afterwards. If you have strong views on whether our relationship with Europe needs to change - and if so, how - why not join us?

Social Media & Employment Law

Thursday, 01 March 2012 00:00

Social networking is here to stay: both employees and employers have embraced Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn as promotional tools.  As reputations take years to build but can be destroyed in seconds, employees and employers alike need to tread carefully.

Jolyon Berry of Birketts LLP will be considering the rights of the parties from an employer’s perspective, suggesting some solutions to typical and topical problems.

Always a popular presentation so make sure you've got it noted in your 2012 diary.

The worlds first LED sales banner

Thursday, 02 February 2012 00:00

Marie Frazier from Sales Media Evolution......

The dBANNER is the worlds 'first' and 'only' totally portable media station included in a traditional roll up banner system, with a 22" or 32" HD LED screen which displays dynamic videos of all your company’s products and services.

The dBANNER can be used in-store, waiting/reception areas, exhibitions, events, seminars and for training purposes.

The system allows a variety of promotions to be displayed almost anywhere and can be erected in under three minutes by one person without any tools or technical skills. You do not need to connect a computer or dvd player to play your video, unlike a TV stand. You can even have the option to use a battery pack power supply, which means at events you can potentially save a fortune on electricity charges or in places where there is limited power available.

To make this system even better, ALL the design and video production is included. Our design is at a world class level and has been approved by media agencies such as McCann Erickson.

The only company worldwide to offer dBanners and to have provided this exciting innovation to several local, national and international companies such as;  Jeep, Virgin Holidays, Fiat, Ford, BBC Radio, St Elizabeth Hospice and many more.
